The program to ensure import substitution of the Russian industry has been implemented by the Government of the Russian Federation since September 2014, and every year attracts more and more attention from both the authorities and the public.

The total amount of funds aimed at facilitating import substitution for the period 2015-2018 amounted to about 1.6 trillion rubles. In the period 2019-2020, the projected volume will be almost 1.3 trillion.

Implementation of measures for import substitution in Russia is carried out taking into account certain tasks that are being developed by the state. First of all, the following goals are highlighted:

- work on competitiveness development;

-improving the quality of the Russian economy - increasing the production of goods according to world standards;

- attention to the protection and development of domestic manufacturers;

- ensuring the economic security of the country;

- to occupy the market of imported goods with its own domestic production.
